Bryan "Neil" Zimmerman

headshot

Neil Zimmerman comes to The Conner Group via somewhat of a different route. A Ferrum College Business Administration graduate of 2003, Neil played baseball for the Panthers and legendary coach Abe Naff. After college, he went back to work for his summer high school employer, Bedford Well Drilling.

Two years into his tenure there, he became a Parts and Service Assistant at Carter Machinery, then transitioned into Service Manager at Pioneer Machinery in Salem. In 2007, Neil pursued his dream of becoming a baseball coach and was hired on the staff at William Byrd High School. For 16 years he coached baseball at Byrd, the last 7 years as the head varsity coach.

Neil spent 17 years teaching with Roanoke County Schools, most recently Herman L. Horn Elementary, where he spent the last 11 years. He is on the Board of Directors for Bolling Conference Grounds (Camp Tuk-A-Way). Neil lives in east Roanoke County with his wife Nikki, and daughters Maggie and Carlie. He enjoys spending time on his family farm in Bedford County, and vacations and cookouts with his family.
